IMAGE TO TEXT WITH OPEN CV AND OCR PYTHON SCRIPT

Key Contributions:

Utilized OpenCV and OCR to pre-process images, detect objects, and extract text from the images.
Tested and validated the system on a large dataset of images and evaluated its performance.
Collaborated with the team to integrate the picture-to-text conversion system into existing workflows.
Project was deployed into production with AWS

Results:

Developed a picture-to-text conversion system with 80% accuracy, which was better than the formal script used to make this possible.
Improved the efficiency of the scraping text from pictures by using a high performance algorithm to make the process automated and faster.
